- Motherwell manager Stuart Kettlewell named three changes to the Steelmen side that was demolished 4-1 by Dundee at Dens Park in midweek, before a late winner for the Well saw them leave Paisley with three points as they beat St Mirren 1-0.
- Aston Oxborough remained in goal behind Shane Blaney, Dan Casey and Liam Gordon in the back three. Marvin Kaleta took Jair Tavares' spot at right wing-back, with Steve Seddon remaining at left wing-back.
- Harry Paton replaced Ewan Wilson to accompany Lennon Miller and Andy Halliday in the middle of the park. Tony Watt was ineligible to face his parent club, so Tawanda Maswanhise partnered Apostolos Stamatelopoulos in attack.
- Kilmarnock boss Derek McInnes named two changes to the Killie team that left it late to depart Dundee with a point in a 1-1 draw against United at Tannadice before a sole goal success over Hearts on Sunday afternoon at Rugby Park.
- Robby McCrorie continued in goal behind Lewis Mayo, Joe Wright and Robbie Deas who left Killie at a numerical disadvantage against Hearts for 84 minutes. Bobby Wales replaced Danny Armstrong on the right-hand side with Corrie Ndaba on the left.
- Liam Polworth, Fraser Murray and Brad Lyons were chosen in the middle of the park once again. Bruce Anderson and Marley Watkins lead the line as Killie captain Kyle Vassell missed their match at the weekend due to the birth of his newborn child.
