- Robbie Deas dropped out of defence last Saturday, as Liam Polworth joined Brad Lyons and David Watson in midfield. Danny Armstrong moved out to the right hand side of midfield as Lewis Mayo slotted in at centre back.
- Matty Kennedy settled for a spot amongst the substitutes, joined by Rory McKenzie and Liam Donnelly after their injury layoffs. Marley Watkins joined Kyle Vassell, who bagged a brace against Livingston, in attack.
- Aberdeen boss Barry Robson named two changes to the team that was held at home in a goalless stalemate with St Johnstone before the international break, before their late European heartbreak on Thursday night.
- Jack MacKenzie replaced Jonny Hayes to start at left wing-back. Nicky Devlin occupied the right hand side of the Dons defence, alongside the three central defenders of Richard Jensen, Slobodan Rubezic and Stefan Gartenmann.
- The only other alteration saw Duk start from the bench, he was replaced by Dante Polvara who netted Aberdeen's second goal as they went 2-0 up on the night before a late collapse saw them lose to PAOK 3-2 at Pittodrie.
