Galatasaray confirm Diarra agreement

Galatasaray sporting director Levent Nazifoglu has confirmed the Turkish giants have agreed personal terms with Marseille midfielder Lass Diarra, according to Turkish paper Fotomac, via Get French Football.

Diarra, 31, has been heavily linked with a move away from Marseille since the end of last season but his immediate future appeared to be with the Ligue 1 club after being made captain for the current season.

However, he is now on the verge of joining Galatasaray after agreeing personal terms, although the Turkish side now need to speak with Lokomotiv Moscow about a fine currently looming over Diarra’s head.

“We have a total agreement with Lassana Diarra,” Nazifoglu told Fotomac, via Get French Football.

“Now, we must sit down with Lokomotiv Moscow over the €10m penalty imposed on Diarra… We have agreed to everything with Diarra.

“Now, we wait to see for the €10m fine. If we can fix this problem, he will be wearing the Galatasaray shirt.”
