Hatem Ben Arfa has rejected a move to Sevilla and underwent the first part of his medical with Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday afternoon, reports Get French Football.
The 29-year-old had looked set to join Europa League champions Sevilla on a free transfer after his contract with Nice expired at the end of last season.
However, Unai Emery’s departure from Sevilla to PSG, which was confirmed earlier this week, has led to the France international to pull the plug on a move to Spain and opt for a switch to the Ligue 1 champions.
Ben Arfa is now expected to sign a three-year deal with PSG and will sign on the doted line when he completes the second part of his medical.
The former Newcastle United flop endured a sensational campaign with Nice last season as they secured a top-four finish under Claude Puel. No player completed more dribbles in Ligue 1 last season than Ben Arfa (152).
