Marco Verratti’s agent has confirmed the midfielder is in talks to extend his contract with Paris Saint-Germain.
The Italy international, who still has four years left to run on his current deal, has been heavily linked with a move to Barcelona and the Premier League in recent weeks.
However, Verratti now looks like he is set to remain with the Ligue 1 champions after his agent confirmed contract negotiations had begun.
“We are in the process of discussing a contract extension with PSG, Donato Di Campo told TMW.
“The interest of other clubs is greatly satisfying, the peak of his entire path has followed since Mario Verratti has arrive in Paris.
“But his future, we see it at PSG, where he is engaged until 2019.”
Of players to feature in 50 league games since the start of the 2012/13 campaign, only three players have garnered a better pass success rate in Ligue 1 than Verratti (91.1%).
