Manchester United vs Sevilla Confirmed XIs: Midfield lynchpin returns

 

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has named Marouane Fellaini in the starting XI for their crunch Champions League meeting with Sevilla on Tuesday night.

 

The Belgian made his return from injury off the bench in United's 2-1 win over Liverpool on Saturday, that his first competitive appearance since a brief cameo in the 2-0 loss to Tottenham on deadline day.

 

Fellaini is making his first start since the 1-0 defeat to FC Basel back in November as Mourinho aims to disrupt Sevilla's gameplan at Old Trafford.

 

The 30-year-old's inclusion in the starting XI comes at the expense of Scott McTominay, who drops to the bench, while Paul Pogba is also in the matchday squad.

Sevilla line up as expected at Old Trafford and they'll look to keep things tight early on on the back of a David De Gea inspired performance in Spain in the first leg.

 

The goalkeeper was in fine form at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan to keep United in with a chance of making it to the quarter-finals of the Champions League as the Premier League side held Sevilla to a 0-0 draw.
