Chelsea offer 2018 World Cup winner new long-term deal

Chelsea have offered N’Golo Kante a new long-term deal in order to fend off lingering interest from French giants Paris Saint-Germain, claims The Daily Mirror.

Kante still has three years left to run on his current Chelsea deal but PSG were keen to sign the 2018 World Cup winner last summer.

The 27-year-old, who was born in Paris, has already revealed this season that PSG made an approach for his services and Chelsea are keen to secure his long-term future.

Kante has emerged as one of the best midfielders in the Premier League since moving to England three years ago.

Chelsea already face the prospect of losing star forward Eden Hazard at the end of the season and Maurizio Sarri’s side are determined not to lose Kante as well.

Since moving to the Premier League, Kante has made the most tackles and interceptions combined (758).
