West Brom have made a £4m bid for Queens Park Rangers winger Matt Phillips, according to The Daily Telegraph.
Tony Pulis is a long-term admirer of Phillips and failed with two bids to sign him last summer, as QPR demanded £8m.
The West Brom manager is keen to start his recruitment drive before his players return to pre-season and is hopeful of signing the Scotland international before the end of this week.
Phillips, 25, endured a fine campaign for Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink’s side last season, ending the season with two more goals (8) than he had managed in his previous two combined (6).
