Real Madrid will look to re-sign former midfielder Mesut Ozil if James Rodriguez leaves for pastures new, reports Don Balon.
The Germany international left Spain for Arsenal in 2013 on the back of Gareth Bale's world-record move to Madrid.
After a rocky start to life in England, Ozil is beginning to re-discover his best form, with the 27-year-old registering more assists (12) than any other player in Europe's top 5 leagues this season.
While Arsenal will be loathe to losing their star creator, Madrid will look to tempt the Gunners into selling, particularly if Rodriguez leaves.
The Colombia international is supposedly unsettled in Spain under Rafa Benitez, with a host of Premier League sides keen on the 24-year-old.

So many reasons this won't happen. Ozil felt rejected when they sold him so he will.never return. He is finally happy and in great form with Arsenal, and Wenger will retire before he sells his record breaking transfer star player. Not a chance in hell.
Hahaha! They'll get rid of Rafa before they get rid of James Rodriguez methinks. Laughable story.
@What4 or the plot twist : They really get Mesut Ozil :/
