Wolves slap eye-watering valuation on Liverpool target Traore
Wolves are ready to cash in on dribble machine Adama Traore this summer but will demand £70M for his signature, claims Football Insider.
Traore has been a revelation for Wolves this season and has already been heavily linked with moves to Real Madrid and former club Barcelona.
The 24-year-old showed flashes of potential during spells at Aston Villa and Middlesbrough but a lack of end product undermined all of his good work.
That has changed since completing an £18M move to Wolves in the summer 2018 and his reputation has soared as a result.
As well as interest from Spain's big two, Premier League leaders Liverpool have emerged as a potential destination for Traore this summer.
Jurgen Klopp wants to bolster his offensive options with Mo Salah and Sadio Mane poised to miss a chunk of next season due to the Africa Cup of Nations.
Traore's speed and direct threat would certainly fit the bill at Anfield but Liverpool would have to make the winger one of their most expensive ever signings to land him.
Wolves have reportedly made it clear they will only allow Traore to leave this summer if their £70M valuation is met.
Only on one occasion have Liverpool paid more money for one player than it would cost to prise Traore away from Wolves.
Liverpool spent £75M to sign Virgil van Dijk from Southampton and the Netherlands international is now considered the best centre-back in the world.
With everyone available, it's unlikely Traore would be a regular starter for Liverpool and the fee quoted may be enough to ward off Klopp's interest.
Despite dislocating his shoulder on three separate occasions this season, Traore has only missed one Premier League game for Wolves in 2019/20.
Traore has played a direct hand in 11 league goals (four goals, seven assists) but his dribbling is what sets him a part.
It is therefore no surprise to know Traore has completed more successful dribbles than any other player in Europe's top five leagues this season.
