United interested in €60m-rated Porto striker

Manchester United are interested in signing €60m-rated Porto striker Andre Silva, according to The Daily Record.

Silva, who turned 21 last week, has already been linked with a big money move to a number of Premier League clubs after his impressive start to the season with the Portuguese giants.

The Porto No.10 only signed a new five-year deal in August and any suitor may be forced to match his huge €60m (£52m) release clause if they want to sign the exciting forward.

With Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s current deal set to expire at the end of the season and Wayne Rooney’s future increasingly uncertain, United need to start thinking about revamping their offensive options.

The future already looks bright with Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial at the club, but Mourinho is reportedly eyeing up a move for national compatriot Silva.

In 10 Liga Nos appearances Silva has scored seven goals, which only Moussa Marega can claim to better this season (10).
