Teenage Dortmund sensation on Liverpool’s radar

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is hoping to sign Borussia Dortmund winger Christian Pulisic in January, reports the Sunday Mirror.

The American was strongly linked with a switch to Anfield in the summer, but the Bundesliga outfit managed to retain his services.

However, Liverpool will return for Pulisic in the New Year in the wake of Danny Ings’ season ending injury, with the former Burnley man suffering a knee problem in the EFL Cup win over Tottenham.

The Reds will also be affected by Sadio Mane’s participation in next year’s Africa Cup of Nations, which will hinder the club’s fluid attack.

Pulisic has been identified by Klopp as a potential incomer, with the teenager emerging as one of the hottest striking talents on the continent.

Fenway Sports Group have made Klopp aware that he has money to spend in the January market and while Dortmund would be loathe to losing Pulisic having registering the second most assists (4) in the Bundesliga this season, they are braced for a big money bid from Liverpool in January.
