Townsend to demand Spurs exit

Andros Townsend is believed to be ready to hand in a transfer request to force a move away from Tottenham in January, according to the Sunday People.

The Spurs winger has struggled for regular first team football this season, registering just 64 minutes of Premier League action.

Townsend was disciplined following an altercation with a Spurs fitness coach in the wake of the 3-1 win over Aston Villa on Monday night, with the winger casting a frustrated figure on the touchline.

He was left out of Spurs' squad for the welcome of Anderlecht on Thursday and will play no part in the North London Derby.

Leicester, Swansea, Aston Villa and West Brom are all thought to be interested in the England international, who missed out on a place in Roy Hodgson's latest squad and will be keen for regular minutes ahead of Euro 2016.
