West Ham latest Premier League side after Rondon

West Ham have joined Wolves in the race to sign West Brom striker Salomon Rondon this summer, claims The Daily Mail.

Rondon was a revelation on loan at Newcastle this season but the Magpies are not expected to retain his services for next term.

West Brom are expected to cash in on the 29-year-old this summer after missing out on promotion to the Premier League.

The Venezuelan striker has already been linked with a move to Wolves, but West Ham are also keen on the powerful striker.

West Ham are hopeful that Marko Arnautovic will remain at the club despite the fact the Austrian wanted to move to China at the start of the year.

Manuel Pellegrini’s side plan to bolster their offensive options for the new campaign and hope to sign Rondon as competition for places with Arnautovic.

Rondon scored 11 goals in 32 league appearances for Newcastle this season and provided seven assists – his best return in a Premier League campaign.

However, only Cardiff’s Callum Paterson (8) lost more aerial duels per game than Rondon (7.3) in the Premier League this season.
