Villa manager banishes rising star to U21 squad

Jack Grealish’s chances of turning out for England at Euro 2016 have suffered a serious blow after Aston Villa manager Remi Garde banished the novice to train with the Under-21 squad.

The Villa midfielder has highly rated and recently switched allegiances to represent England at national level.

However, Grealish has repeatedly let himself down off the pitch and was pictured drinking in a Manchester nightclub after his side were hammered 4-0 by Everton on Saturday.

The 20-year-old was also alleged to have carried his partying on the next day at a Birmingham hotel and Garde has told him he will train with the development squad for the foreseeable future as punishment for his misdemeanours.

Villa have found it particularly tough going forward and without Grealish in their ranks they will be without their second most prolific dribbler in the Premier League this season (20).

Only Jordan Amavi (25) has completed more dribbles than Grealish for Villa and he is also out for the rest of the season with a serious knee injury.
