Mancini linked with England job

The English Football Association have invited former Inter and Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini to attend their World Cup qualifier against Malta at Wembley on Saturday, reports Sky Sport Italia, via Football Italia.

Mancini has been out of work since being sacked by Inter before the start of this season and has since been linked with a return to management in England.

The Italian spent four successful years with Manchester City and the FA’s invitation has fuelled speculation they are lining the 51-year-old up to be Sam Allardyce’s long term successor.

Mancini finished his time at City with a win ratio of 59.2% during his four years in England.
