Arsenal midfielder wants to fight for future at the club

Jack Wilshere wants to fight for his future at Arsenal this season despite interest from home and away this summer, reports The Daily Telegraph.

The England international spent last season on loan at Bournemouth and is currently recovering from a broken leg suffered towards the end of last season.

Wilshere has entered the final 12 months of his existing deal and there has been no offer of a renewal forthcoming as the 25-year-old enters a crossroads in his career.

Italian side Sampdoria have made an offer to prize Wilshere away from the Emirates this summer but injury-plagued midfielder is determined to salvage his Arsenal career.

Wilshere made 22 starts in the Premier League last season, which marked his best return in a single-league campaign since 2010/11. He failed to score a single league goal for Bournemouth, but only Kevin De Bruyne (9) and Paul Pogba (6) where denied by the woodwork more times (Wilshere – 5).
