Everton manager Ronald Koeman will rekindle his interest in Swansea star Gylfi Sigurdsson in the summer but will need to pay in the region of £25m to land the creative midfield, reports Bleacher Report.
Sigurdsson, 27, has been one of the most unheralded stars of the Premier League this season and has performed above and beyond expectation in a struggling Swansea side.
The Iceland international was linked with a move to Everton at the start of the season and his tremendous performances this season have put him firmly back on Koeman’s radar as he continues to look for star quality to enhance his current squad.
However, Sigurdsson endured a torturous spell at Tottenham before returning to Swansea in 2014 and his two years at White Hart Lane may give him reservations about returning to another top club having really excelled for Swansea in both stints at the club.
In fact, no midfielder has played a direct hand in more goals in the Premier League this season than Sigurdsson (18).Not only that, but no player has registered more assists in Europe's top five leagues than the Swansea ace (10).
