West Ham had £42.7m bid for top striker rejected

Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has revealed the Ligue 1 outfit rejected a bid from West Ham in excess of £40m for Alexandre Lacazette, according to French broadcaster SFR Sport, via The Daily Mail.

Signing a world class striker has been a priority for West Ham this summer and that had seen them linked with a move for the France international.

Arsenal had previously failed with a £29m bid for the striker but Lyon have now revealed a staggering offer from West Ham was also tabled.
