Inter have held talks with Lazio over the signing of Antonio Candreva, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.
Roberto Mancini is keen to sign a new right midfielder and has identified the Lazio ace as the ideal candidate to fill the void in his existing squad.
However, both sides have failed to agree a fee with Mancini’s side unwilling to match Lazio’s €25m (£19.6m) valuation of the Italy international.
Inter, instead, are hopeful of securing Candreva’s services for a fee in the region of €18m (14m).
Candreva has reached double figures for goals in each of the last three Serie A campaigns (32 goals total). In that time no player has completed more accurate crosses (excluding corners) than the Lazio No.87 (99).
