West Ham are talks with Chinese side Shandong Luneng to bring Graziano Pelle back to the Premier League, claims Sky Sports.
The Hammers are on the verge of selling Diafra Sakho to Rennes in a deal worth £8m and want to bolster their offensive options before Wednesday’s deadline.
Pelle left Southampton to join Shandong in July 2016 after netting 23 goals in two Premier League campaigns for Southampton.
The 32-year-old is reportedly earning a stunning £260,000-a-week in China and negotiating his wages will likely prove West Ham’s biggest stumbling block with time running out to get deals over the line.
Pelle scored six goals and registered three assists in 24 league matches for Shandong Luneng last season and would need time to get up to speed having last played competitively back in October.
