Barcelona midfielder Rafinha is set to miss the remainder of the season after the club announced he tore his the anterior cruciate ligament’s in his right knee in their 1-1 draw to Roma in the Champions League on Wednesday.
Rafinha, 22, who is the younger brother of Bayern midfielder Thiago, was forced off midway through the second half of their draw in Rome and will now miss the next six months to a year with injury.
The Barcelona academy graduate has started in two of Barcelona’s three league games this season but has failed to offer much in the way of impressive performances, mustering a meagre 6.91 rating thus far.
