Milan midfielder set for MLS move

AC Milan midfielder Antonio Nocerino is set to follow in the footsteps of Nigel de Jong in making the switch to MLS, according to Tuttosport.

Nocerino, 30, has dropped completely out of favour this season and his exit now seems a foregone conclusion.

Sinisa Mihajlovic has already offloaded De Jong to LA Galaxy this week and could be set to allow Nocerino join up with former Milan legend Kaka at Orlando City.

While the transfer window has shut in Italy, MLS clubs still have up until February 18 to add players to their squads.

Nocerino, a former Italy international, has been at Milan since 2011 but has only made two appearances in the league this season, with the last coming back in August.
