Liverpool not interested in Juventus star

Liverpool are not interested in signing Paulo Dybala from Juventus, claims the Liverpool Echo.

Reports emerged over the weekend suggesting Liverpool were considering a club-record £80m bid for the Argentina international.

Juventus are understood to be closing in on a stunning move for Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo and that has cast doubt over Dybala’s status at the club.

Jurgen Klopp opted against signing a replacement for Philippe Coutinho in January but is on the market for a creative attacker.

Liverpool were in advanced talks with Lyon for captain Nabil Fekir but a transfer collapsed on the eve of the 2018 World Cup and it’s unclear whether Klopp’s side can salvage a deal.

Former Liverpool target Thomas Lemar has since joined Atletico Madrid but the Premier League giants are not preparing a move for Dybala, contrary to reports.

The 24-year-old is regarded as one of the best players in Serie A and it would have been a huge coup if Liverpool were successful in signing the Juventus No.10.

Dybala won the most WhoScored Man of the Match awards in Serie A (8) last season, while also finishing the campaign as the highest WhoScored rated player in the division (7.77).
