Clubs across Europe have been put on red alert after Ajax manager Peter Bosz revealed the Dutch giants are keen to sell Riechedly Bazoer in the January transfer window.
Bazoer, 20, is regarded as one of the most exciting midfielders in Holland and has previously been linked with high profile moves to some of Europe’s biggest clubs, although the Ajax starlet has previously revealed a desire to play for Barcelona.
The Netherlands international’s career has stalled this season under new manager Bosz and the Ajax manager has conceded a move away in January is now a foregone conclusion.
“After talks with Riechedly I assume there is a big chance that he is not with this team anymore after the winter break,” The Daily Mirror quote Bosz as saying.
Bazoer has only started three league games this season and hasn’t featured since getting an 11-minute cameo in Ajax’s 1-1 draw with Feyenoord at the end of October.
Ajax are actually playing better without Bazoer in their starting XI so his sale would not be a major loss for the immediate future, although he possess great talent and it would be a shame for Ajax to lose another prospect before they have reached their peak. In fact, since the start of last season Ajax have only won 66.7% of the league games Bazoer has played, while they are unbeaten in the 19 league matches he has not started.
