Manchester United are set to battle Real Madrid for the signing of Paris Saint-Germain star and Real Madrid target Neymar, reports the Sunday Mirror.
The striker would cost in excess of £200m having only moved to PSG last summer from Barcelona, but it’s a fee both teams would be willing to pay.
Neymar hasn’t featured for the French champions since sustaining an ankle injury in a 3-0 win over Marseille back in February, yet is expected to be fit to feature for Brazil at the World Cup.
Both United and Real Madrid would also be able to match Neymar’s huge wage demands, though it’s the latter who are leading the race to secure his services.
However, with Anthony Martial set to leave Old Trafford this summer having been left out of the squad for United’s welcome of Watford due to injury today, head coach Jose Mourinho is looking to add another wide attacker to his squad.
The player’s agent and father is a United fan and the Premier League side will hope to use their good working relationship to lure the 26-year-old to England this summer.
no way..200m they paid & wont be selling for the same price... i cant see this happening.
