Leicester City have earmarked Sevilla midfielder Steven N’Zonzi as one of their main targets should N’Golo Kante leave the King Power Stadium in the summer, according to The Daily Mirror.
N’Zonzi, 27, only left Stoke for Sevilla last summer in a £7m deal and was key to their third straight Europa League success in the final against Liverpool last week.
The former France Under-21 international has a staggering £21m release clause in his current deal at Sevilla but Leicester are reportedly interested in signing the powerful midfielder if they fail to keep hold of Kante this summer.
No player to have featured in at least seven matches in the Europa League this season averaged more aerial duels won per game than N’Zonzi (6).
