Liverpool target could be next player heading to China

Liverpool target Alex Teixeira is the target of a €50m (£37.9m) bid from Chinese Super League target, according to Calciomercato.

Jurgen Klopp’s side failed in their attempts to convince Shakhtar Donetsk to part ways with the Brazilian forward after coming in way under their initial £38m valuation.

A raft of players from Europe, including Jackson Martinez, Fredy Guarin and Gervinho, have already made the switch the Chinese Super League over the last month and Teixeira could be next to follow, despite his manager insisting he would not be joining Jiangsu Suning.

The 26-year-old, who has previously been strongly linked with Chelsea, is the top goalscorer in the Ukrainian Premier League having scored a staggering 22 goals in just 15 league starts.
