The Football Association have opened up an investigation into allegations England manager Sam Allardyce helped negotiate a £400,000 deal using knowledge to ‘get around’ rules on player transfers, claims BBC Sport.
The Daily Telegraph published video footage of Allardyce meeting men that claim to represent a Far East Firm in August where he appears to explain how third-party ownership rules can be avoided.
Allardyce, 61, is only two months into the England job having replaced Roy Hodgson after their shambolic Euro 2016 campaign. The England manager was due to announce his squad for upcoming fixtures against Malta and Slovenia in the next two weeks but is now fighting to save his job after just one game.
The FA have reportedly contacted the Telegraph to get access to the tapes and new chairman Greg Clarke has already announced he will sound out all the information from the relevant parties before a decision is made on Allardyce’s future.

Having only taken charge of one game, Allardyce is now facing the prospect of becoming the shortest-serving permanent England manager of all time.
