Man Utd and West Ham to battle for right-back valued at £19m

Manchester United and West Ham are set to lock horns in the race to sign Bayern Munich right-back Noussair Mazraoui, reports Sky Sports Germany.

Both sides are looking to add a new right-back this summer, with the Hammers also eyeing up a move for United's Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

Mazraoui worked under Erik ten Hag at Ajax, and the Dutchman is considering the possibility of bringing the Morocco international to Old Trafford should Wan-Bissaka leave for West Ham.

However, if West Ham can't strike a deal with United for Wan-Bissaka, then they'll turn their attention to Mazraoui, who Bayern value at £19m.

Bayern are well stocked at right-back following the January arrival of Sacha Boey from Galatasaray.

Injuries restricted Mazraoui to just 15 league starts last season, though he did start eight of their 12 Champions League matches on their way to a semi-final exit at the hands of Real Madrid.

West Ham are looking to bring in another right-back this summer following the departure of Ben Johnson for Ipswich and have also been linked with a move for Southampton's Kyle Walker-Peters.
