Inter are plotting a stunning swap deal with PSG for key attacker Angel Di Maria, which would see Geoffrey Kondogbia move to the French giants in return, according to Repubblica.it.
The Argentina international is a top target for the Serie A side this summer as they look to re-establish themselves as Italy’s dominant team.
As such, Inter are planning a €50m bid for Di Maria and could include Kondogbia in any possible deal to coax PSG into selling the 29-year-old.
While he started the season slowly, Di Maria impressed over the course of the campaign, netting six goals and registering a further seven assists to earn a WhoScored rating of 7.28.
PSG would be reluctant to sell the Argentine creator, who created more clear-cut goalscoring opportunities (21) than any other player in Ligue 1 last season.
Reports over the weekend also suggest that PSG are closing in on the signing of Real Madrid star James Rodriguez, who could come in as Di Maria’s replacement at PSG.
What’s more is that Inter’s pursuit of Di Maria could spell the end of Ivan Perisic’s time in Italy, with the Croatia international keen on a move to Premier League side Manchester United.
