Former Arsenal midfielder Abou Diaby has been left out of Marseille’s 25-man Europa League squad as he continues to recover from injuries that have dogged the last five years of his career.
Diaby, 29, joined the French outfit on a free transfer this summer following his release from injury and is yet to turnout for his new side.
The France international has only managed to start 10 league games since the start of the 2011/12 season and still remains a huge gamble on Marseille’s part.
