Italy starlet plays down Madrid switch

AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma has played down talk of a move to Real Madrid and is concentrated on his boyhood club.

Reports have emerged linking Italy’s youngest even full international goalkeeper with a move to Madrid in recent days.

Donnarumma, 18, burst onto the scene as the youngest goalkeeper to feature in a Serie A game in October last year but the Milan shot stopper isn’t bothered by talks of a switch to the European Champions.

Real Madrid want me? I’m only thinking about AC Milan, doing well and working hard every day. We’ll see,” he told Sky Italia, via AS.

Donnarumma’s save success rate of 68.8% is enough to rank him among the top 10 goalkeepers in Serie A of those to have made at least 10 league appearances since the start of last season.
