Crystal Palace will look to sign Everton midfielder James McCarthy when the transfer window opens in January, according to The Daily Mail.
McCarthy, 25, was reportedly keen to leave Goodison Park - despite comments made my Everton’s owner - this summer but remained a Toffee as the transfer window closed last week.
Palace were interested in signing the Ireland international and will look to sign a new central midfielder in January after missing out on their main targets towards the end of the summer window.
Only Gareth Barry (274) has made more tackles in the last four Premier League campaigns for Everton than McCarthy (259).
