Arsenal eye move for unhappy Manchester United ace

Arsenal are monitoring Ander Herrera's future at Manchester United with a view to making a summer move for the midfielder, claims The Daily Mail

Herrera is out of contract at the end of the season and United are yet to make a breakthrough in talks with the Spaniard, with Paris Saint-Germain also interested in signing the 29-year-old.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants United to keep Herrera but the Red Devils are running out of time and now risk losing him to one of their Premier League rivals.

Arsenal manager Unai Emery wants to bolster his midfield options at the end of the season, particularly as Aaron Ramsey will join Juventus in the summer.

The Gunners signed Denis Suarez on loan from Barcelona in January but the 25-year-old has only made four substitute appearances in the league and is unlikely to earn a permanent deal at the Emirates.

Herrera has completed more tackles and interceptions combined (81) than any other United player in the Premier League this season.

Moreover, United have won 83.3% of the Premier League matches Herrera has started in 2019 compared to a win rate of just 50% when he has not featured from the off in that time.
