Premier League champions Liverpool secure long-term future of midfielder
Harvey Elliott has signed his first professional contract with Premier League champions Liverpool, the club has announced.
Elliott only became eligible to do so after turning 17 in April having joined the Reds from Fulham last year.
"Harvey Elliott has today signed his first professional contract with Liverpool Football Club," a statement read on Liverpool's official website.
On his deal, Elliott said: "I think since the first day I've walked in, it's been an indescribable journey so far.
"I think now to top it off with my first professional contract is a dream come true for me and my family. I'm excited to see what the future holds and I'm just excited to give everything to the club and the fans."

17-year-old Elliott has featured predominantly in the cups this season, making three FA Cup and three Carabao Cup appearances.
Now that the Premier League title is wrapped up, however, the teenager will be looking to earn some more league minutes over the coming weeks.
