Valencia have announced Dani Parejo has put pen to paper on a new three-and-a-half-year deal running until the summer of 2022.
Parejo had entered the final 18 months of his previous Valencia contract but the Spanish side have now secured his best remaining years.
The 29-year-old has been a mainstay in Valencia’s team for the last seven years and is arguably playing some of the best football of his career at the moment.
Any suitors interested in signing Parejo in the future will have to match the €50m release clause in his new deal.
“Valencia have reached an agreement with Dani Parejo to extend his current contractual relationship with the club until June 30th, 2022, with a buyout clause of 50 million euros,” a statement read on the club’s official website.
Parejo is currently the most in-form in Europe’s top five leagues according to our unique algorithm.
