Josh Maja has completed his move from Sunderland to Bordeaux, the League One side has confirmed.
The 20-year-old striker had been linked with a move to Premier League side Tottenham earlier in the year, but Maja has instead elected to join Ligue 1 side Bordeaux.
“Josh Maja has completed a move to Bordeaux,” a statement read on the club’s official website.
“The 20-year old Sunderland AFC academy graduate has joined the French Ligue 1 side on a permanent basis.”

Maja had been in good form for the Black Cats this season, netting 15 goals in 25 league outings for the League One promotion candidates.
Sunderland aren’t in action now until the beginning of February, where they host AFC Wimbledon, as they strive to secure a Championship return.
Maja, meanwhile, wasn’t signed in time for Bordeaux’s meeting with Strasbourg today, but will hope to play some part against the same team in the Coupe de la Ligue next week.
