Leicester have confirmed Jamie Vardy has signed a new 12-month contract extension keeping him at the club until his 36th birthday.
Vardy still had two years left to run on his original deal but Leicester have rewarded the veteran with another season.
The former England international became the Premier League's oldest ever Golden Boot winner last season after finishing one clear of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Danny Ings.
Vardy is the second Leicester star to ink improved terms in as many days following in the footsteps of creative midfielder James Maddison.
News of renewals for both Vardy and Maddison is welcome news for Brendan Rodgers, who is preparing for Ben Chilwell's departure to Chelsea for £50m.
Leicester spectacularly missed out on a top four finish last season despite resuming the season after lockdown eight points clear of fifth with nine games to go.
However, Leicester look to be keeping the bulk of their squad together for the 2020/21 campaign and Rodgers will hope to add some new faces before the window closes in October.
Since firing Leicester to the Premier League title in 2015/16, only Harry Kane (119) and Sergio Aguero (102) have scored more goals than Vardy (98).
