Vincent Janssen admits he is frustrated AZ Alkmaar have rejected Tottenham’s bid and hopes a solution can be found soon.
Tottenham have had a £15m offer for the Netherlands international rejected as Mauricio Pochettino attempts to bolster his offensive options ahead of the coming season.
Alkmaar are still holding out for their £16.8m valuation of the striker but Janssen believes a quick sale would only benefit everyone concerned.
“I have made my decision and told the club about it,” Janssen is quoted as saying by Football Oranje.
“Tottenham have tabled a pretty high offer in my opinion. There has been an offer in the region of €18m but AZ are not even willing to sit down and talk.
“I want to start pre-season at another club as soon as possible. This is frustrating.”
Janssen finished last season as the top goalscorer in the Eredivisie (27).
