Monaco midfielder heads Inter’s summer transfer wish list

Roberto Mancini wants to reunite Monaco midfielder Joao Moutinho with Geoffrey Kondogbia at Inter next season, according Tuttosport, via Football Italia.

Inter paid a reported £25m to sign Kondogbia from Monaco last summer and Mancini is yet to get the very best from the powerful midfielder.

This hasn’t gone unnoticed by Mancini, who has identified Moutinho as the ideal midfield partner to get the best from him, using their successful partnership at Monaco as a reference point.

However, Inter would need to sell someone before launching a €20m (£15.8m) bid in order to get round Financial Fair Play restrictions, while also fending off expected interest from Juventus to land the Portugal international.

Since the start of the season, no Monaco player has created more clear-cut chances than Moutinho in the league (29).
