Juventus prepare contract offer for star forward

Juventus are ready to offer Cristiano Ronaldo a new contract until 2024, reports Tuttosport.

The Portuguese forward started the campaign slowly, but has hit his stride in recent months and it means only Ciro Immobile (27) has scored more goals than Ronaldo (21) in Serie A this season.

Despite turning 35 last month, the Old Lady are ready to offer Ronaldo a four-year deal in what would likely be his final big contract of his career.

The powerhouse frontman has been a revelation for Juventus since arriving from Real Madrid in 2018, bagging 42 league goals.

And now they are looking at prolonging his stay in Turin until he turns 39, which means he may end up retiring in Italy.

Ronaldo's good form for Juventus has seen him return a WhoScored rating of 7.90 this season, the second best in Serie A.

Prior to the suspension of Serie A to help curb the Coronavirus outbreak, Ronaldo's 21 goals had helped fire Juventus to the top of the table as they leapfrogged Lazio into first after their 2-0 win over rivals Inter.
