Alan Pardew has scoffed at speculation linking Crystal Palace with a move for Emmanuel Adebayor.
The Togolese striker is a free agent following his release from Tottenham Hotspur last year and has been mooted with a potential switch to Selhurst Park.
However, Pardew has quickly moved to deny reports that the Eagles are set to offer Adebayor a deal.
"There's no truth in it (the rumours)," Pardew is quoted as saying by the London Evening Standard.
Adebayor, 31, is without a club after his contract was terminated by mutual consent at White Hart Lane, but was unable to sign for a new club having not been registered as a Premier League player in the summer.
Watford and Aston Villa have been monitoring the striker's situation, yet have not firmed up their reported interest in the former Spurs man.
