Chelsea star wants to leave at the end of the season

Eden Hazard has told his Chelsea and Belgium teammates he wants to leave Stamford Bridge at the end of the season, according to L’Equipe.

Hazard, who was voted PFA Player of the Year last season, has endured a difficult start to the season and was dropped by Jose Mourinho for Chelsea’s 2-0 win over Aston Villa at the weekend.

The Belgium international came on with less than seven minutes to go and was then publically bashed by his manager and told he wouldn’t get back in the team unless he improved the defensive side of his game.

Mourinho then recalled Hazard to the starting XI in their 0-0 draw against Dynamo Kyiv in the Champions League and the Belgian was unfortunate not to get on the scoresheet after being denied by the post.

Hazard, only signed a new five-year deal at the end of last season, has courted interest from Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain in the past and both sides could rekindle their stance on the wideman following this news.

Since joining Chelsea from Lille in 2012, Hazard has completed at least 149 more dribbles than any other player in the Premier League.
