Pochettino not interested in replacing Tottenham captain Lloris

Mauricio Pochettino does not intend to sign a replacement for Tottenham captain Hugo Lloris this summer, reports The Daily Mail.

Lloris made another glaring error at the weekend that cost Tottenham in a 2-1 defeat way to Liverpool.

The France international has endured an extremely mixed campaign but errors are increasingly creeping into his performances.

Questions have been asked about Lloris’ future at Tottenham following Sunday’s loss to Liverpool but Pochettino does not agree.

Lloris, who was charged with drink driving earlier in the campaign, is Pochettino’s first choice goalkeeper for next season as things stand.

Pochettino will instead use his summer budget to strengthen in other areas of the pitch.

Only Asmir Begovic (8) has committed more errors leading to an opposition goal in the Premier League than Lloris (6) since the beginning of last season.
