Tottenham are willing to make Lyon midfielder Tanguy Ndombele the most expensive signing in their history this summer, claims The Sun.
Ndombele has emerged as one of the most sought after midfielders in Europe after another impressive campaign for French side Lyon.
The France international has already been heavily linked with a move to Manchester City and Manchester United but Tottenham are trying to steal a march in the race to sign the 22-year-old.
Tottenham have already had a club-record bid rejected for Real Betis midfielder Giovani Lo Celso and are ready to offer £60m for Ndombele.
Davinson Sanchez is Tottenham’s club-record signing after the north London outfit shelled out a reported £42m fee to sign the defender from Ajax in the summer of 2017.
Lyon paid just €7m (£6.2m) to sign Ndombele on a permanent deal last summer and are now holding out for as much as £70m for the French midfielder.
Of players that have attempted at least 100 dribbles in Ligue 1 since August 2017, Ndombele has the best success rate (75.1%).
