Ashley Young earns new Inter deal

Ashley Young has signed a one-year contract extension with Inter less than six months after joining the Serie A giants from Manchester United, reports The Guardian.

Young quit United to link up with Antonio Conte's Inter at the start of the year on an initial six-month deal running until the end of the season.

The former England international has been a roaring success for Inter, however, and the Serie A outfit have already decided to secure his services for next season.

Young is one of three players signed by Inter from United over the course of this season following summer deals for Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez.

Lukaku has also hit the ground running for Inter but Conte's side will not make Sanchez's loan stint permanent following an injury-hit campaign.

Despite only joining at the start of the year, Young (450) has already featured in more minutes of league action than Sanchez (199).

The versatile full-back registered an assist on his Inter debut and opened his account for the club in a 2-1 defeat to Lazio in February.
