Spurs boss reveals January transfer targets

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino has revealed he will look to sign a striker in January to help ease the pressure on Harry Kane.

The north London outfit have made a thoroughly impressive start to the season and Kane has found his feet once again in the Premier League to prove he is no one season wonder.

However, with Spurs very much in the hunt for a top four finish, Pochettino knows this could be a huge season for the Lilywhites and admits he wants to sign another striker to ease the goalscoring burden currently on Kane’s shoulders.

“We have offensive players who can play like Harry. There is Sonny or Chadli or Clinton – they can play like a striker,” Pochettino is quoted as saying by the Press Association.

“But maybe it’s true. I recognise they are not a specific striker so maybe we work to try to find such a player we can add in the next transfer window or in the summer to try help the team.”

Spurs are currently on the longest unbeaten run in the Premier League, having not tasted defeat in the league since the opening day of the season (13).
