Hulk reveals contact from Premier League

Shanghai SIPG star Hulk has revealed there is interest from the Premier League for his signature in January.

Hulk has been plying his trade in China since June 2016 but has been regularly linked with a move to the Premier League in his career.

The Chinese Super League season finished at the start of November and Hulk’s side finished second, six points behind champions Guangzhou Evergrande.

Given the fact next season’s Chinese Super League isn’t due to start until March, it raises the possibility that Hulk will be free to leave in January.

The 31-year-old has three years remaining on his current deal with Shanghai SIPG but has refused to rule out a move away before then.

“I received one contact from the Premier League and quite a few others from other countries,” The Daily Mirror quote Hulk as saying.

“I admire very much the Premier League and it is considered not by accident the best league in the world.

“But one never knows in football, everything can happen and my agent Daniel Lorenz receives contract from Europe including from the UK so in football you never know and sometimes when you least expect you can have an invitation and things can change.

“We are open, we cannot block out calls and of course if there is a very good offer and his Chinese club is okay with that, then we would deal with it as it comes.”
