Spurs agree N’jie deal

Tottenham Hotspurs are close to bolstering their offensive options after agreeing a £12m deal with Lyon for striker Clinton N’Jie, reports The Daily Telegraph.

Spurs will reportedly pay an initial £10m for the Cameroon international, with a further £2m due to bonuses.

N’Jie, 21, is now expected to fly to London to complete his medical and Spurs are hopeful to have the deal wrapped up before their weekend encounter with Stoke.

Mauricio Pochettino is on the market for a striker to help share the load with Harry Kane this season, with Manchester United’s Javier Hernandez also thought to be on Spurs’ radar.

N’Jie enjoyed an impressive breakout season for Lyon last season, scoring seven goals in 30 league appearances. In fact, no Lyon player required fewer minutes to have a shot on target in the league last season than N’Jie (47.5 minutes).
